Mask-Making Workshop with Mary Elizabeth Atwood

Create a one-of-a-kind clay mask during this two-part workshop at The Foundry in Denton led by artist Mary Elizabeth Atwood. On July 11, participants will sculpt a mask using clay, shaping it directly on their own face to create a personal piece. On July 18, they will return to paint and decorate their masks with feathers, beads, ribbons and other materials. Participants are encouraged to bring a small meaningful item to embed in the clay, decorations to personalize their mask and a single word that represents their intention.
