Caroline County Garden Club Bus Trip to Mount Vernon

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with a special Caroline County Garden Club bus trip to Mount Vernon, the historic home of President George Washington. The $125 ticket includes transportation, snacks on the bus, a private docent-led tour of the recently renovated mansion, and access to the gardens, estate grounds, farm building, and Visitor and Education Center. Guests can also explore “Patriots Path,” a Revolutionary War encampment on the Mount Vernon grounds. Lunch is not included, but visitors may choose from the on-site restaurant, café, food trucks, or pack their own lunch. Two convenient departure points are available: the Denton Food Lion parking lot at 8:15am or the westbound Route 50/404 Park and Ride at 8:40am.
