Strawberry Chase

Wear your red, white, and blue to honor our Veteran’s Service at the 11th Annual Strawberry Chase 5K on Sunday, May 28, 2023. There will be costume prizes for the best theme dressed. Water stops and refreshments provided. The course is a flat loop including the town’s rail trail and scenic farmland west of Ridgely. Start and finish is at Martin Sutton Park. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. on 4th Street near the skate park and the race starts at 8 a.m. Cost is $27 through May 26; $30 after May 26, and $15 for youth ages 12 and under. Sleepwalker registration are $25 (“run in your dreams” from the comfort of your home but support the charity effort). No cost for the 200-yard Strawberry Dash for children ages 3-5 at 7:45 a.m. This race is in conjunction with the annual Ridgely Strawberry Festival.  There will be food, vendor displays, flea market and craft sales, local non-profits will be open for business, parade at 12 noon, local music performances, shaded seating, free parking and the famous Ridgely Lions Club Strawberry Shortcake & ice cream!
