SUMMARY:Caroline County Garden Club Bus Trip to Mount Vernon
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with a special Caroline County Garden Club bus trip to Mount Vernon\, the historic home of President George Washington. The $125 ticket includes transportation\, snacks on the bus\, a private docent-led tour of the recently renovated mansion\, and access to the gardens\, estate grounds\, farm building\, and Visitor and Education Center. Guests can also explore “Patriots Path\,” a Revolutionary War encampment on the Mount Vernon grounds. Lunch is not included\, but visitors may choose from the on-site restaurant\, café\, food trucks\, or pack their own lunch. Two convenient departure points are available: the Denton Food Lion parking lot at 8:15am or the westbound Route 50/404 Park and Ride at 8:40am.
